Making a Difference
AT&T is making a difference for minority-, women- and disabled-veteran-owned business enterprises. Working collaboratively with numerous diversity advocacy organizations, corporate forums and with policy-makers, AT&T increases business opportunities for M/WBEs and DVBEs by providing corporate support, leadership and innovation.
Minority Business Enterprises (MBE)
- In 2010, AT&T spent over $6.6 billion with minority-owned firms.
- AT&T is a contributing corporate partner with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and several other supplier diversity advocacy organizations.

AT&T serves on the board of directors and is an active member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and has been recognized by the organization for its longtime distinguished record of supporting minority businesses. |
Women Business Enterprises (WBE)
- In 2010, AT&T spent over $2.5 billion with women-owned businesses.
- AT&T's formalized women's business enterprise (WBE) program has been in place for more than two decades.
- WBEs are included throughout AT&T's supply chain, from IT computers and outside plant services to finance and marketing.

Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE)
- AT&T's DVBE program, established in 1993, focuses on inclusion of service disabled veteran-owned businesses in the company's supply chain. This year marks the 15th anniversary of AT&T promoting DVBE contract opportunities within the corporate supply chain.
- In 2010, AT&T spent $115 million with disabled veteran-owned businesses.
